Mathematics remains one of the most important subjects studied at school and a good grade at GCSE or A-level maths is crucial for most students. Alternatively, some parents will be looking for a maths tutor to help their child with an 11+ or 13+ school entrance exam.
A thorough understanding of mathematics can only realistically be achieved by tackling the various topics in a sensible order since an understanding of one topic usually relies on being well-versed in a number of related topics.
Pupils who have failed along the way to grasp some or all of these related topics will therefore struggle at times in maths classes at school.
