I am a full-time private tutor, with over 30 years’ teaching experience, specialising in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
I tutor mainly A-level and GCSE students preparing them for these exams which they may be taking in the next year or two. I also tutor younger students in the first few years of secondary school who may be struggling in any of these subjects.
The tuition taken is additional to the teaching received at school. It takes place outside school hours from my home in Teddington (or online) and is aimed at any pupil in secondary school who wants to excel in one or more of these subjects.
Many of my students are taking extra tuition to ensure they achieve the high grades they require at A-level in order to be accepted at a university of their choice. Other students are looking to do well in their maths or science GCSEs, which they rightly regard as crucial subjects for future success. Younger students may be struggling in their first year or two at secondary school and their parents may arrange tuition with me in order to assess where their problems lie and to take remedial action to get them back on track.
A-level and GCSE tutoring is tailored to the specific examination board a student is following, whether this is Edexcel, OCR, AQA, CIE or WJEC.
I also provide tuition for university entrance exams in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, Medicine or Engineering including BMAT, ENGAA, PAT, MAT and STEP.
These exams are typically taken by students applying to Oxford or Cambridge but are also a requirement for entry to a number of other universities.
